Founded in 1931, the Sciences Po Paris Sports Club's mission is to promote sports practice within our institution. With a long tradition and a passion for sport, our organization is an essential pillar of student life at Sciences Po.
The Association Sportive's role is to promote and facilitate the practice of sport by committed to offering all students access to a wide range of sports, ranging from collective disciplines, to individual sports, including combat sports or intellectual disciplines. We strongly believe that sport is a vehicle for personal and collective development, contributing not only to physical health and mental well-being, but also to the creation of social connections. Our aim is to make sport accessible to all students, regardless of their skill level and interests in order to make sport an integral part of life at Sciences Po, thus enriching the student experience.
To carry out this mission, we offer a variety of set up by the Department of Student Life and organizes numerous sporting events, as well as various activities throughout the year, such as evenings, conferences, and even ski and sea vacations!
As a dynamic and committed organization, we devote our time to promoting sport and the values associated with it: respect, equity, inclusion. Protecting these values is a profound necessity. Sport embodies principles such as fair play, respect, discipline and team spirit that go far beyond simple athletic practices to touch on our daily lives. These values promote tolerance, perseverance and fairness, and by maintaining them we ensure that sport remains a space for personal and collective development, for self-improvement, where everyone can learn to overcome challenges, to work with others and to strive for excellence in an ethical and respectful manner. Thus, by defending these values, we contribute to ensuring that integrity and solidarity are at the heart of student life at Sciences Po.
