The Mercenaires are Sciences Po's historic men's football team. With their two teams, they meet twice a week on the pitch to defend the yellow and black colours in the university leagues (1st and 2nd division). Togetherness, enjoyment and competitiveness are three values embodied by the “Mercenariat” which, needless to say, is sure to leave its lasting mark on the players’ university years (to such extent that former players often rock up in their numbers to team events).

Beyond football, the Mercenaires have a strong reputation of shining far from football pitches. From pre-drinks before student evenings to dinners in a not so fancy all-you-can-eat Asian buffet by way of their yearly trip to the most remote parts of Belgium, the Mercenaires never shy away from an opportunity to distinguish themselves whilst strengthening the bonds between them.
